And our Project includes three performance art actions that can be performed individually or as a whole as long as it includes a Forum Theatre segment to engage in dialogue between the three actions. Technically, artistically and thematically the three actions are radically different. The play is about a current social issue, the role of women in a patriarchal society, therefore it is devised to be performed in the street in front of any kind of audience. In fact, the performances we have done so far reassure us on the reflective power this show has on the audience, be it kids, teenagers, adults or elderly people. Each one of the interventions are carried out in an innocent and naive way that end in tragedy. When the verb turns into action.<\/span><\/p>\n

For too long compliments have been overlooked as a direct violation of somebody\u2019s personal space, no matter how much they try to disguise it as social recognition. Nowadays, it is still common for women to suffer this type of aggression in various moments of their daily life: at work, in private spaces,\u2026but on the street and by strangers is where they are the most exposed. In this piece we work using the concept of \u201cTrophy wife\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently there are still many women who, due to the education we receive, need to depend on people with \u201cpower\u201d to feel complete. In the patriarchal society in which we live when we talk about somebody with power, we talk about a man. There are still many women who decide to give up, consciously or not, their individuality and their life to serve as a gift for somebody else. They become a trophy, a present, an object,\u2026 depersonalizing themselves to become the perfect complement for the successful man: a pretty woman to show off everywhere, that will never contradict him, and will never make him look bad in front of others. Of course. Minors are usually accompanied by a responsible adult, who can decide if he wants the minor to become aware of these issues or not. In fact it can help them talk about current social problems.<\/p>\n

Up until now it has been performed for high school students with a spectacular reaction, not only because of the ovation received, but also because of the comments of the teachers and even of the parents who, without even being there, congratulated us for the play, because their children brought up a conversation topic at home that made them all stop and think about \u201cmicro-machismo\u201d<\/p>\n

Performance art techniques, with no literary text, that make the character evolve.<\/p>\n

Floretes<\/em>: Syllabic poetry. Only six words are used.<\/p>\n

Florera<\/em>: Onomatopeic poetry. Object manipulation.<\/p>\n
